Downstream Film and Panel Discussion

You are invited to attend the webinar “Downstream Film and Panel Discussion” presented by Dr. John O’Connor, Andrew Nikiforuk, Leslie Iwerks and George Poitras. Click here for a biography of each presenter. This webinar will begin with a viewing of the film Downstream and a panel discussion will follow. Downstream is a short documentary by Leslie Iwerks which is the modern day David and Goliath story of "Big Oil". At the heart of the oil sands in Alberta, Canada, one courageous doctor puts his career on the line as he fights for the lives of the First Nations people living and dying downstream from one of the most polluting and toxic oil operations in the world. The length of the webinar will depend on how many questions participants ask and the discussion generated but we predict that the webinar will be approximately one and a half hours in length.

We anticipate that many people will register for this webinar and seating is limited so please register as soon as possible.
