GreenSpace 2010

GreenSpace is our annual forum for environmental youth in Manitoba.

Join us this year for 2 DAYS of:

* learning from local activists;
* building new skills;
* meeting other environmental youth;
* planning joint projects;
* taking action;
* and helping to build a strong environmental youth movement in Manitoba!

GreenSpace is organized by the Manitoba Environmental Youth Network Steering Committee, a group of young people who are active in their high schools, workplaces and campuses and who are committed to connecting all environmental youth in our province so we can make change together.

Important information to read before you register...

Who can attend?
All high school and post-secondary aged young people who are involved in environmental groups, or who would like to get involved, are welcome. All of the activities and workshops are geared to youth but teachers or other adults who work with you youth may attend as well.

What is the cost?
A $20 registration fee includes lunch on both days and can be paid at GreenSpace. Please contact us in advance if you will need assistance with this cost.

To encourage youth from outside of Winnipeg to join us, we will waive the registration fee for any Manitoban youth coming from beyond the perimeter.

What will happen at GreenSpace?
Click here for a schedule. Day 1 (Oct. 7) will include workshops, a chance to make some plans for the year ahead and lots of time for networking. Day 2 (Oct. 8) will be spent on action-based field trips. To participate in a field trip on Day 2, you must have attended Day 1. Field trips will be registered for in advance but you will select your workshops on Day 1 when you arrive at GreenSpace.
