The Sustainable Development Committee is primarily a student initiative, which encourages youth to reach their full potential in the community. We are currently working on an Alternative Energy Array.

Recent Events
The SDC recently came in fourth place in the global Volvo Adventure Competition. Six students from Vincent Massey Collegiate (Mikhail Kozub, Erin Collins, Shimby Zegeye-Gebrehiwot, Gladys Yeung, and Annalise Erkelens) were sent on an all-expenses paid trip to Goteborg, Sweden, to compete in the contest. They faced off against 14 other finalist teams from around the globe. Eventually, Canada was placed in fourth.
The competition had 379 applicants from 46 different countries, of which only fifteen teams were selected as finalists.
